About

After retiring from a 30-year career in law enforcement as an SVU detective, Michael is now pursuing his dream of acting and music.

Michael grew up in a musical family. His dad, Johnny Vadnal, was an extraordinary musician and composer who recorded with RCA Victor, Imperial and Mlay record labels. He was an internationally known accordionist and polka band leader who had his own television show (1949-1961), and was dubbed “Cleveland’s Polka King.”

After playing the drums in a production of Jesus Christ Superstar, Michael got the acting bug and began studying acting at Broward College in South Florida. He then had the extraordinary opportunity to audition for Mr. Burt Reynolds at the Burt Reynolds Institute for Film and Television for Mr. Reynolds’ Master Acting Class and Mr. Reynolds accepted Michael into his class. Michael studied with Mr. Reynolds from 2003 through 2012 and had the extreme pleasure of performing numerous showcases under his direction. Mr. Reynolds chose Michael to be his stand-in for an ESPN Commercial which Michael looks back on as one of the many incredible experiences with Mr. Reynolds.

Michael is a professional, dedicated and accomplished film and theatre actor (please see resume).

As a pianist, drummer, singer and songwriter, Michael has written and recorded numerous songs and has written the book, lyrics and music for his full length musical, I DOn’t CaRE, which is in production in the fall of 2021 (idontcarethemusical.com).
